Cement Board Backing
Hardboard Backing
Synthetic Cork
(Most Popular)
Synthetic Corq-1/4" thick
(Most popular and ideal for kitchens backsplashes, walls, showers..etc

Synthetic Corq is made from a food grade, high quality thermoplastic
elastomer, which is closed cell structure and will not mold, mildew or
physically break down in the continued presence of
moisture or leaks..Synthetic cork is  ideal for backsplashes and also
truly wet locations like showers or outdoor use.
Natural Cork Backing-1/4" thick
Ideal for kitchens backsplashes.

The honeycomb structure of suberose surface gives cork a high friction coefficient
and makes it very durable. It does not absorb dust and is fire resistant in its natural
state.
Cork does not rot due to the suberin which makes it impermeable to gases and
liquids. Ideal material for all building products, including floor and wall tiles, cork
wallpaper, rolls, and sheets.
Hardboard Backing-1/4" thick
Ideal for kitchens backsplashes.

Hardboard is made of wood fibers, usually with the addition of resin,
and tempered by coating with a thin layer of linseed oil and baking at a high temperature
to polymerize the oil. This provides more water and impact resistance, hardness,
rigidity and tensile strength.

Hardboard, also called high-density fiberboard, is a type of fiberboard, which is an
engineered wood product. It is similar to particle board and medium-density fiberboard,
but is denser and much stronger and harder because it is made out of exploded wood fibers
that have been highly compressed. It differs from particle board in that the bonding of the wood
fibers requires no additional materials, although resin is often added. Unlike particle board,
it will not split or crack. It is used in construction and furniture.
Cement Board Backing-1/4" thick
(Ideal for kitchens backsplashes, walls, showers..etc

A cement board is a combination of cement and glass fibers.Cement board adds
impact resistance and strength to the wall surface. As a tile backing board,
cement board has better long-term performance than paper-faced gypsum core products
because it will not mold, mildew or physically break down in the continued presence of
moisture or leaks.
Cement based panels are ideal for truly wet locations like shower
surrounds and for locations where a Portland cement based thin-set material is used for
bonding tile and stone surfaces to a substrate. They are also ideal for floor tile and
stone installations over a structural subfloor.
